Courses and Class examples

Classes: a 2-evening/day event with focus on class topic which includes information about production methods, quality standards (law), history and current trends. A comprehensive wine tasting and snacks served to complement wines. Duration: 2 hours (x2) with 6-8 wines; participant will receive a certificate of completion.

  • Regional Wines of i.e. France, Italy, United States and Canada, Germany and Austria, South America and South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Iberian Peninsula, Hungary, Greece and the Balkan's

  • Varietal Wines i.e. Red "Noble Grapes", White "Nobel Grapes",

  • Rose and Red Wines

  • White and Sparkling Wines

  • Wine Appreciation and History

  • Fortified and Dessert Wines

  • Wine and Food Pairing

 

Courses: 2-4 continued 2 hour classes focusing on a variety of wine-related subjects. Includes in depth educational instructions and comprehensive tastings. Spread over 2-4 weeks culminating with a "Passport" certificate.

  • Master Table Service (for restaurant staff)

  • Master Sales Techniques (for retail staff)

Themed Wine Tastings

These are informal gatherings with a wine "theme" ; Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours, only bread or crackers served (no food)

Some examples are:

  • Trendy Moscato, mysterious marvelous Muscat

  • Cool Summer Wines

  • Warm Winter Wines and such
